Dear delegates. It is a great honour and privilege to serve as your Secretary General for the 8th Annual Session of the Intra Suncity Model United Nations. We at SMUN have always given importance to Debate, Diplomacy, and Dialogue and by God's grace, take great pride in the increased participation in our small yet impactful student-led conference. In my journey as a MUNer over the past five years, I have relived the past and have also experienced the fate of the future change. I am certain that this edition of SMUN will be no different. Our vast and captivating committee's presided over by our talented and passionate executive board and secretariat promise to reward imagination, innovation, and dedication to the best of our abilities. So, I, Hriday Kabir, Secretary General of SMUN 2023 invite you to be a part of the best conference you would have ever attended, at home. See you soon Suncitizens!

Greetings future leaders! Today, having been given the privilege to serve as your DSG, I reminisce back to 2019, my first SMUN - when I was left wondering how all my first-timer friends had managed to secure Verbal Mentions and High Commendations while I was still completely clueless about what had happened in the past 2 days. What I did know though, was that I now had an admiration for my Executive Board, respect for a passionate Secretariat, (and that I really needed to watch the news more often.) So what really is SMUN for any of us avid MUNners who’ve been doing this for over 5 years now? Home. Ask any experienced delegate, and they’ll say ‘SMUN feels like home.’ We, the Secretariat, aim to encapsulate exactly that at the 8th edition of the conference, and hope to provide you with that same comfort we’ve always had.

Ronniet Biala
Head of Organising Committee 

Hi fellow Munners! 
My name is Ronniet Biala. You may know me as the Head Boy of Suncity School but today I also stand here in front of you as the Head of the Organising Committee in the SMUN secretariat. Its a trip down memory lane for me as I started my MUN journey right here at SMUN 4 years ago as a confident but raw delegate who improved himself throughout the course of his 15 MUN journey. I cannot wait to serve SMUN as the Head of the Organising Committee and play a vital role in the proceedings of this conference through my role.
I hope to see you on the 28th and 29th October fighting it out and enjoying the SMUN experience.

My name is Lakshya Kapoor, USG delegate affairs at SMUN 2023. I remember my first ever MUN, in 2019 here at our very school, entering my committee with a little excitement, a little confusion and a dashing suit. 5 years and 10 conferences later, I have gathered enough experience and skill to proudly come full circle and serve the very MUN which started it all.  
My responsiblity as delegate affairs will be to assist and support each and every delegate and ensure you all have an astounding experience at SMUN. Feel free to approach me at any hour of the day and I promise to clear any kind of query you have. I hope to see you all in committee with the same amount of excitement, a dashing suit and hopefully a little less confusion. See you all on 28th 29th!

Greetings!
I am Ambreen Gill, USG Marketing at SMUN 2023. From being the potential house captain in my first week of school to being a part of the secretariat in my very first SMUN, joining Suncity has introduced me to countless new opportunities in just a few months. An MUN experience to me is far more than just 3 days of debate and discussion, it takes you to an entirely different zone of socializing, creative-thinking and diplomacy. 

And I hope all first-timers taking part this year are able to feel the same excitement and nervousness that I felt during my first MUN 6 years ago. 
Hoping to see great participation from all of you this year as well.
